Sewanee Alumnus To Discuss Curiosity And AI Today

Technology executive and Sewanee graduate Jim Henley will return to the University of the South today, November 4, for a presentation on navigating the age of artificial intelligence.

The talk begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Torian Room at duPont Library. The Babson Center for Global Commerce lists the presentation as “Curiosity Compounds: A Geologist’s Guide to Thriving in the Age of AI.”

Henley, a 1996 Sewanee graduate, is chief technology officer at Quanturisk Analytics. His work focuses on translating environmental risks into financial insights, according to the university.

Before moving into his current work, Henley spent 15 years at Moody’s and held positions in geology and hydrogeology. He earned his undergraduate geology degree at Sewanee and a master’s degree in hydrogeology at Clemson.

The presentation is part of Sewanee’s Humphreys Entrepreneur-in-Residence program. It is co-sponsored by the Babson Center, the Department of Earth and Environmental Systems, and the Department of Math and Computer Science.
