Kenneth Wayne Campbell

January 14, 1938 – August 18, 2026

Kenneth Wayne Campbell “Ken” passed away peacefully at his home in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on August 18, 2026, at the age of 88.
The family has chosen cremation, and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Tullahoma located at 108 East Grundy Street Tullahoma, Tennessee 37388. There will be a Fellowship Memorial Dinner in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
Ken was born on January 14, 1938, in Cumberland, Kentucky, to George and Bea Campbell.
On December 1, 1979, he married his wife and soulmate, Linda, with whom he shared more than 46 years of marriage.
Ken was the father of Brenda, Michele (Mickey), Kenny, and Curtis, and stepfather to
Tammy, Terrica, and Steven. He was a proud grandfather to 25 grandchildren and 28 great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bea and George; his brother, Bruce; his sister,
Cheryl; and his stepson, Steven.
Ken was a man of many interests and talents, with an enduring love of words. He loved
reading, writing, collecting books, and solving crossword puzzles, and he passed his love of
reading on to his family, particularly his grandchildren. He was also a talented painter and a
wonderfully creative man who wrote, painted, sang, played pool, and remained endlessly
curious about the world around him.
His family will remember the little things just as dearly: his unmistakable ALL CAPS
handwriting in the leather daytimer he carried everywhere; his hats and robe; talk radio in the
car; caffeine-free Diet Coke in the refrigerator; coupons spread across the table; and his
legendary love of peanut butter. They will remember his grilled cheese sandwiches, turkey
pot pies, the songs he sang, and the countless ordinary moments he somehow made
memorable.
Ken leaves behind a family filled with stories because of him. His memory will live on in
books read, songs sung, paintings admired, grilled cheese sandwiches made just the right
color – and, of course, every jar of peanut butter.
He was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed.
