WINCHESTER, Tenn. – Students from Franklin County High School and Huntland High School are being recognized for both character and academic achievement following recent honors and statewide competition.
Kaylee Coker and Lucas Stephens of Franklin County High School, along with Yoselin Noguez of Huntland High School, were recently awarded the Decherd Masonic Lodge Honesty & Integrity Award. The recognition highlights students who demonstrate strong character, leadership, and a commitment to doing what is right both in and out of the classroom.
In addition to these honors, several FCHS students represented the school at the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga over spring break. Eight students participated in the event, competing alongside top health science students from across Tennessee.

Several of the participants placed in the top ten in their respective health profession categories, while others served in important roles as courtesy corps members and voting delegates—representing their school and contributing to the overall success of the conference. Students who attended the conference included Sophia Chiu, Adison Geer, Eden Kilgore, Juliet Hayes, Zeldan Ashley, Ashlee James, Allie Smith, and Carson O’Dare.
The strong showing at the state level reflects the continued growth of Franklin County’s academic and career-focused programs, particularly in the health sciences field. Between statewide competition success and local recognition for character, these students continue to represent their schools and communities at a high level.
