WINCHESTER, Tenn. — The Franklin County Rebelettes continued their strong stretch Monday night, rolling past Marion County 14-3 at home behind a dominant offensive performance and a statement night from Bella Smith.
But this wasn’t just another win. It was another sign of a lineup that’s becoming increasingly dangerous — and a team that’s starting to play with confidence. After Marion County struck first with a two-run home run in the top of the first, Franklin County didn’t just respond — they answered with authority.

On a full count in the bottom of the first, Bella Smith stepped in and delivered one of the most impressive swings you’ll see all season — a low, line-drive rocket that screamed over the right-center field wall to tie the game. That moment flipped everything. The Rebelettes followed with a sacrifice fly from Kaitlyn Montgomery and took advantage of an error to grab a 3-2 lead — one they would never give back.
Franklin County continued to apply pressure in the second before breaking the game wide open in the third. Victoria Nelson drove in a run with a single, another run scored on an error, and then Smith struck again — this time against left-handed pitching — muscling another low line drive over the left-center field wall for a three-run home run. Different side of the plate. Same result. That swing pushed the lead to 9-2 and effectively put the game in Franklin County’s control.

While Smith’s two home runs and four RBIs headlined the night, this was far from a one-player performance. Kyleigh DeCamp led the team with three hits, while Nelson and Hadley Jolley added multi-hit games. Franklin County finished with 10 hits and continued to show balance throughout the lineup. And that’s becoming the identity of this group. They don’t rely on one bat — they come at you in waves.
Smith also handled business in the circle, going five innings while allowing just four hits and three runs, striking out five. Victoria Nelson came on in relief and closed things out with a clean inning as Franklin County secured the mercy-rule win in the sixth. What stands out right now isn’t just the wins — it’s how they’re happening.

This team is responding quickly, putting pressure on opponents early, and capitalizing when opportunities present themselves. The defense was clean. The pitching was steady. And the offense continues to show it can break games open in a hurry. It’s a group that’s starting to look more comfortable… and more dangerous.
With the win, Franklin County improves to 13-11 on the season and extends its winning streak to three games.
The Rebelettes will travel to Giles County on Thursday as they continue district play.
