FRANKLIN COUNTY, TN – Franklin County High School is celebrating a week of outstanding achievements as both a beloved educator and two students have received significant honors.
Mrs. Anderson, who leads the Animal Science and FFA programs at FCHS, has been named WKRN News 2 Educator of the Week. The recognition highlights her dedication to agricultural education and her impact on students both inside and outside the classroom.
“My passion for agriculture inspires my teaching of Animal Science and FFA, developing future leaders through hands-on learning, problem solving, responsibility, and respect for agriculture,” Anderson said.
Her feature will air on WKRN News 2 Thursday, Feb. 12 at 10 p.m. and again Friday, Feb. 13 between 5:55 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Good Morning Nashville. As part of the honor, Anderson is now a nominee for the Tennessee Lottery Educator of the Month. Community members can vote from March 2 through March 29 at TNLottery.com to help her compete for the April award.

FCHS is also proud to recognize senior Spencer Garner, who has been selected by News 2 as Musician of the Month. The honor recognizes exceptional musical talent and dedication, showcasing the strength of the school’s performing arts programs.
Additionally, senior Mollye Casey has received the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Award. The DAR is a non-profit, non-political women’s service organization founded in 1890 that promotes historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Each year, the local DAR chapter selects one deserving FCHS senior who exemplifies leadership, character, scholarship, and service.

These recognitions reflect the culture of excellence at Franklin County High School — from dedicated educators to students who continue to shine in academics, the arts, and leadership.
FCHS administrators say they are proud of each honoree and grateful for the positive impact they continue to make in the school and community.
