Dennis Lyn Durham, age 60, passed away on October 27, 2026, at his residence. He was born on May 5, 1966, in Franklin County, Tennessee, to R.H. Durham and Cora Ann (Smith) Durham. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Navy, receiving several medals and commendations during his military service.
Dennis was a lifelong mechanic whose passion for taking things apart and fixing them began when he was a young boy. He enjoyed dirt track racing and participated in open-wheel dirt track racing circuits spanning across the East Coast.
He also enjoyed spending time at the ocean. Although he valued his privacy, Dennis was a people person who knew many and cherished his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.H. Durham; siblings, Rex Durham, Spencer Durham, Lisa Duckett, and Joyce Durham.
He is survived by his loving mother, Cora Durham; siblings, Libby Browndfield, Pam Wooten, Tony (Patsy) Durham, and Patty (Brian) Brazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Watson Memorial Park.
