Theresa Louise Ellis Peacock, age 55, of Winchester, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 24, 1971, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Tommy and Nancy (Stewart) Ellis.
She was a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Decherd. A talented cosmetologist, she shared her passion for making others feel beautiful while working at Platinum Hair Salon.
She was full of life and embraced every moment with joy. She treasured spending time with her family and friends and could often be found dancing, singing, or enjoying the outdoors, especially during the summer months by the pool. She loved trips to the beach and enjoyed relaxing with her favorite shows and movies, including Heartland, Grease, and Footloose.
She will be remembered for her loving, selfless, and compassionate heart. She always put others before herself, never hesitating to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. She had a remarkable ability to see things from another person’s perspective, making everyone around her feel valued and loved. With her vibrant personality, infectious smile, and joyful spirit, she was truly the life of every gathering and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin (Annie) Mae Stewart and Lloyd (Margie) Ellis; mother-in-law, Sherry Peacock. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Marty Peacock; daughter, Cassie Peacock; son, Colby Peacock; mother, Nancy Ellis; father-in-law, Larry Peacock; siblings, Margie Davis, Donna Walls (Kevin Hill), Larry Ellis, Tommy Reynolds; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
