June 9, 1943 – October 17, 2026
Randall Noyes McAbee, age 83 of Estill Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Highpoint Health Winchester. Randall was born on June 9, 1943, in Macon, Georgia to the late Noyes and Ivory (Hickey) McAbee. Randall was a 1961 graduate of Warner Robins High School in Georgia. His fascination with space inspired him to enlist in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served in the photo mapping division. Following his military service, Randall worked as a manager of various grocery stores before retiring. In his younger years, Randall was known as the family photographer and the go-to person whenever a computer needed fixing. He enjoyed spending his weekends exploring local flea markets and attending auctions, always on the lookout for the next special coin to add to his collection. When fall arrived, you could find him cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, summers were spent cheering for the Atlanta Braves and spending time at his favorite vacation spot, Tybee Island, while enjoying peaceful walks along the beach with his family. In his spare time, Randall enjoyed watching his favorite Western, The Outlaw Josey Wales, and shows featuring classic muscle cars. Randall was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Church. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a playful spirit, always ready with a quick-witted remark or a practical joke to bring laughter to those around him. Above all, Randall treasured his family and the memories they made together. He will be lovingly remembered for his humor, kindness, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Randall Noyes McAbee Jr., and sisters, Rhonda Gabor and Regina Shepherd. Randall is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Carla McAbee; son, Philip (Kristy) McAbee; grandchildren, Morgan (Matt) Johnston, Taylor (Taylor) Keen, Jordan Broyles, Cassi (Stihl) Lance, Abigail (James) Carter; great-grandchildren, Cash, Eden, Cruise, Oliver, Archie, Marlee, Kenzie, and Kolton; sister, Donna (Dan) Clark; sister-in-law, Cathy Rowan; and many nieces, and nephews.
