Eddy Ray Poff, age 64 of Decherd, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Highpoint Health in Winchester. He was born in Winchester to the late Marvin Matthew and Eddie Velma Cook Poff.
Eddy worked in nurseries throughout Franklin County and later in construction as a brick mason. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, kayaking, westerns, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Reese; sister, Norma Marie Hill; brother, George Marlow; and uncles Norman Earl Cook and Frank Cook.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years, Dorothy Poff; son, Timothy Ray (Crystal) Poff; grandchildren, Allen Poff, Chelsea Poff, and Emily Ratliff; sister, Doris (Larry) Steele; and brothers, Danny (Louise) Poff and Matthew Poff.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Winchester Memorial Park.
