Robert Moore Morgan Sr., age 87 of Wartrace, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at his residence. A native of Gainesboro, he was the son of the late Lester and Catherine Moore Morgan.
Robert was a devoted family man and military veteran. He enjoyed horses, hunting, water skiing, coaching little league, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Virginia, were married for 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Morgan Jr.; brothers, James, Austin, Cecil, Billy, and Donald Morgan; and sister, Linda Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Morgan; son, Jason Morgan; daughter, Sherri Damron; daughter-in-law, Tammy Morgan; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Clay Morgan; sisters, Louise Collins and Maggie Fetzer; and extended family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home and again Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m., with burial and full military honors to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
