Cuba Delores Gipson Finney, age 87, of Alto, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, in her home surrounded by family.
Cuba was born September 5, 1938, to the late Orvis and Georgia Gilliam Gipson. She grew up in the Roarks Cove Community. On September 13, 1953, she married Grady Finney. They were together for 55 years. After working 45 years in several factories, Cuba retired from Desa International. She went on to serve as a caregiver for several years. Cuba was an active member of Wilder Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and passionately enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and gardening.
Cuba is survived by her daughters, Vonna (Bobby) Gipson and Betty (Mark) Kelly; her grandchildren, Scott Gipson, Kim (Charles) Housch, Josh (Brandy) Kelly, and Corey (Ashlie) Kelly; her great-grandchildren, Anna (Austin) Sanders, Drake (Maybrie) Kelly, Sarah Margret (Michael) Gentry, Brock Kelly, Summer Grace Kelly, Asher Kelly, and Waverly Kelly; her great-great-grandchildren, Adeline Kelly and Autumn Sanders; her brother, Kenneth Gipson; and her sister, Sue (Steve) Postell.
Cuba was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grady; her sons, Robert and Billy Finney; her brother, JC Gipson; and her sister, Zelda Stephens.
Visitation will be held at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Larry Campbell and Aaron Hastings officiating. Interment will follow at Gum Creek Cemetery with Scott Gipson, Josh Kelly, Corey Kelly, Drake Kelly, Brock Kelly, and Charles Housch serving as pallbearers.
