Robert Melvin Cole III, age 62, of Decherd, Tennessee, transitioned from this earthly life on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Highpoint Health in Winchester. He was born on October 8, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Robert Melvin Cole Jr. and Shelby Jean (Shockley) Cole.
Robert was a member of Agape Ministries Church in Winchester. He previously worked in production at Baxter. Robert was a loving, kindhearted, and gentle man whose sweet spirit touched everyone who knew him. He enjoyed watching television and movies, listening to music, and spending time in the comfort of his home. Above all, he treasured the love and companionship of his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Melvin Cole Jr. and Shelby Jean (Shockley) Cole; uncle, Carl Lee Shockley, and aunt, Betty Price.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife of 31 years, KoJeana Cole; son, Robert Cole IV; stepdaughters, Laquisha Perkins and Keitsha Perkins; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. siblings, Vickie Cole, Rochelle (Dennis) Jenkins, Lawrence Cole, and Michael Brown; aunt, Rose Shockley; and a host niece, nephews, other loving relatives, church family, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home.
