Eddie “Travis” Cook, age 56 of Cowan, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at St. Thomas-West Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on June 17, 1970, in Nashville to the late Willard Clay and Peggy Jo (Holt) Cook Sr. He had most recently been a stay-at-home dad but had previously worked in residential construction. Before his health issues, Travis enjoyed riding the roads and fishing. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWE Wrestling, and playing PlayStation games. His wonderful personality, keen listening skills, and sense of humor that made everyone laugh, will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Steve Carter and Mary (Upton) Cook Sr and Edward and Bessie (Ragsdale) Holt; and brothers-in-law, David Leggitt Sr and James Cadwell. He is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Candy Cook; children, Dillon Harris, Kyle Harris, Lindsey Harris (Hillary Worley), Faith Ann Cook (Josiah Shattuck), Kaila Cook, and Matthew Cook; grandchildren, Brycen Harris, Ryleigh Harris, Hayden Harris, and Dallas Harris; siblings, Donna Leggitt, Clay (Eileen) Cook, and Tracy (Bull) Wilken; mother and father-in-law, Pat and Don Cadwell; nieces, Peggy (Toby) Reynolds, Monica Cook, Ciera (Keith) Davis, and Veronica Cook; nephews, David (Miranda) Leggitt, Willie Cook, and Chris Cook; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
