Stephen Ray “Red” Walls, age 67, of Decherd, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Highpoint Health Systems in Winchester. He was born in Winchester to the late Donnie Ray and Julia Ann (Gaines) Walls. Red was a lifelong farmer whose work included row crops, dairy farming, goats, game chickens and Tennessee Walking Horses. He also enjoyed squirrel and rabbit hunting, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy Walls; children, Jamie Walls, Stephanie (Bryan) Chapin and Michele (Michael) Stephens; grandchildren, Savannah (Dalton) Adams, Colton McBee, Sadee Walls and Harper Chapin; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Adams; brothers, Tony (Beth) Walls and Corey (Tammy) Walls; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Services were held privately.
