Franklin County families have plenty of reasons to celebrate this spring, with a full lineup of Easter events offering fun, food, and activities for all ages. From egg hunts to community gatherings, there are several opportunities to get out and enjoy the season.
Kicking things off, Highpoint Health Winchester will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, March 26 at 185 Hospital Road. The event begins at 5:00 p.m., with the egg hunt starting shortly after at 5:15 p.m. Families are invited to gather on the front lawn for an evening of festive fun.
That same weekend, Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host its Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. Located at 8891 Lynchburg Road, the event welcomes children up to 5th grade and will include activities along with a hotdog lunch for attendees.
Also on March 28, Winchester City Park will be buzzing with excitement during the 2026 Easter Drop from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Hosted in partnership with the Franklin County Prevention Coalition, the event will feature games, music, and activities at the Red Roof Pavilion, making it a great mid-day stop for families.
Looking ahead, The Waters of Winchester will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. at their location on Bypass Road. Community members are also encouraged to donate plastic eggs and candy ahead of the event.
The Easter fun continues on Saturday, April 4 with the VFW Post 1893 Easter Egg Hunt in Estill Springs. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., the event will include snacks, drinks, and crafts for kids ages 12 and under.
With multiple events spread across two weekends, Franklin County is full of family-friendly opportunities to celebrate Easter and make lasting memories.
