Shawn Nel Slocum of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence in Manchester at the age of 56 years.
A native of Lakeland, Florida, he is the son of Mel and Diane Slocum of Manchester and they survive him. Along with his parents he is survived by his wife, Patricia June Slocum also of Manchester, Tennessee.
Shawn was a jokester and loved laughing and picking on people. He had a warrior’s spirit and was a serious billiard player. He was an over the road truckdriver and usually drove a flatbed. Many loads he chained or tarped in his 20 years of driving. Shawn’s CB handle was “Warlock”. His heart adopted his wife’s children, and he loved them as his own. He helped raise their granddaughter; Alicia and they were very close. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Per his wishes he will be cremated and no services are being planned at this time.
