Josef Maierbacher of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Morning Pointe in Tullahoma, Tennessee at the age of 86 years.
He was born on October 14, 1939, in Kirchdorf, Germany and after completing his secondary education in Germany Josef immigrated to the United State in 1968.
He became a citizen and married Martha Braun, July 1971.
An engineer by profession, he then moved to Tullahoma in 1988 to continue his career.
Josef had several hobbies. He and his wife, Martha, enjoyed flying single engine planes as well as gliders. His other interests included geology, woodworking, gardening and tinkering with automobiles.
He is survived by his wife in Tullahoma, a brother, stepbrother, and sister in Germany.
