Franklin County, TN — The Franklin County Prevention Coalition (FCPC) is actively responding to a recent increase in suspected overdose incidents reported in both Franklin and Lincoln Counties. These incidents were brought to our attention through close coordination with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, reinforcing the
importance of strong community partnerships in protecting public health and safety.
Our thoughts are with the individuals and families impacted. These events serve as a critical reminder that substance misuse continues to affect communities of all sizes, and that prevention, education, and access to resources are more important than ever.
FCPC is working diligently with local partners to raise awareness, provide education, and connect individuals and families to life-saving resources. We are committed to taking proactive steps to help prevent further overdoses and support recovery efforts across our community.
Resources Available Through FCPC Include:
-Overdose prevention education and community awareness programs
-Naloxone (Narcan) training and distribution information
-Substance misuse prevention programs for youth and adults
-Drug Endangered Children (DEC) support services
-Connections to treatment, recovery, and support services
-Community outreach events and educational campaigns
We strongly encourage community members to stay informed, check in on loved ones, and seek help if needed. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, please know that help is available and recovery is possible. FCPC will continue to collaborate with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and other local agencies to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed. Together, we can work to protect the health and wellbeing of all citizens in Franklin County.
