Dana Sue Ventress Luttrell of Cowan, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at St. Thomas Rutherford hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 72 years.
A native of Fayetteville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late James Edward and Helen Poole Ventress. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, James Melvin Luttrell.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Sunday, My 31, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service to visit and share their many fond memories.
Dana was a high school graduate and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She truly loved her cats and dogs. As a young girl she was raised on a farm and loved all the animals, especially the horses. One of her greatest disappointments was when her health would no longer allow her to ride. She was a devoted wife celebrating 50 years of marriage this past April. She served as a credit manager for Heilig-Meyers for several years and then became self-employed owning and operating Garage Door Services.
Her survivors include her husband of 50 years, Melvin Luttrell, daughter, Andrea Kay (Dean) Binkley of Belvidere, Tennessee, grandchildren, Austin George of Decherd, Tennessee, and Ronnie Luttrell of Huntland, Tennessee, and two great grandchildren, Brailee and Raylan George of Decherd, Tennessee.
