Linda Faye Harris, age 70 of Decherd, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. Thomas West in Nashville. She was born in Chattanooga to the late Calvin Edward and Jobina Smith Collins.
Linda previously worked for R and B Grocery and later retired from Creekside Market. She enjoyed softball in her younger years, cooking for her family, watching General Hospital and The Price Is Right, and attending Pelham Valley Church of God of Prophecy when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick “Pat” Harris, and brother-in-law, Steve Whitmire.
Linda is survived by her son, James (Penny) Harris; grandchildren, Josh, Danny, Derek, Brittany, Benley, Jolie, Jessie, Samuel and Whitley; and sister, Glenda Whitmire.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Mt. Garner Cemetery.
Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester is assisting the family.
