Linda Darlene Stewart, age 80 of Winchester, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born in Tullahoma to the late Jack and Elma Cordelia May Beavers.
Darlene began her career in clothing and shoe manufacturing before entering the medical field. She became an LPN and later earned her RN degree, eventually serving as Director of Nursing for Care South Home Health before retiring. She also served the Lord for more than forty years as a minister at Huntland Pentecostal Church.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, riding four-wheelers, softball, church, and spending time with her family.
Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Bart Stewart; brothers, William Beavers and Larry Beavers; and sisters, Juanita Steele, Virginia O’Dear, and Jean Medford.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Stewart; children, Tammy Barnes and Troy Stewart; grandchildren, Justin Barnes, Heath Barnes, Colby Stewart, and Haley Dayton; great-grandchildren, Kendall Barnes, Jaxon Gore, and Bennett Dayton; siblings, Seleta “Jackie” Wallace and Frankie Beavers; and extended family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at noon, with interment at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
