Lola June Green, age 75 of Huntland, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, following an extended illness. A Franklin County native, she was born to the late Worth Sutton and Susie Viola Morris Green.
June was a 1969 graduate of Huntland School and worked as a licensed practical nurse at Southern Tennessee Medical Center and Huntsville Hospital. She was known for her compassion, generosity, love of reading and nature, and pride in her Native American heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Green.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Greg Garrett; grandchildren, Charlsie Garrett, Jesse McGee, and Dustyn Garrett; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlos and Drucilla DuBois and Andy and Mary Lee Green; sister-in-law, Patricia Green Stevenson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family has chosen to celebrate June’s life privately.
Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester is assisting the family.
