Edward Parks Greene, 39, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in North Charleston, South Carolina, following complications from congenital heart disease. Born in Gretna, Louisiana, Parks built his life and career around music.
An accomplished organist, he served as suborganist at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston. He also played the carillon and was active in bell ringing through the St. Dunstan’s Guild.
He is survived by his parents, Beth and Richard Greene; sister, Grace Dellis-Wyatt (Spencer); nephews, Greyson Wyatt, Teddy Dellis and Louie Dellis; maternal grandfather, Ned Harris; and extended family.
A funeral service was held Saturday, October 3, at Grace Church Cathedral in Charleston. Private burial will take place at the University of the South Cemetery in Winchester.
McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation handled the South Carolina arrangements, with local arrangements entrusted to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.
