Thomas Douglas Winton, age 68 of Belvidere, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Paul D. Winton and Rosia Z. Powell. Thomas enjoyed a quiet country life and worked as a nursery worker for fifteen years before later working at Fandrich Supply Company. He enjoyed cooking recipes he saw on television, watching westerns, Yellowstone and WWE, listening to music and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Winton. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Joan Winton; daughters, Latonya (LeRoy) Scott and Shannon Winton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings and extended family. Visitation and funeral services were scheduled for September 26 at Watson Funeral Home.
