Ricky Dean Isbell, age 65 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on August 15, 1960, to the late Ira and Elizabeth (Smith) Isbell. An auto mechanic by trade, Ricky had previously worked at Crimson Dale Nursery, Tennessee Pipe Company, and most recently John Deere. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and small engines, as well as fishing and watching the Andy Griffith Show and Bonanza. He loved to stay active and had great determination and strong-will combined with a wonderful sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Isbell, Glen Isbell, and Richard Isbell. Ricky is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Debbie Isbell; daughter, Angela (Darwin) Velazquez; grandchildren, Carlos Merino, Gabriela Velazquez, and Daniel Velazquez; siblings, Mary Ann Sims, Elizabeth Wallace, Billy Ray (Sheila) Isbell, Donald Isbell, and Jimmy Dale Isbell; and many nieces and nephews.
