Beechcraft Heritage Museum Chosen as Filming Location for National July 4 Television Special

Tullahoma will have a place in the national spotlight this Independence Day as the Beechcraft Heritage Museum serves as a featured filming location for a major television celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary.

The museum, located at Tullahoma Municipal Airport, was selected as a filming site for “Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash,” a live television special set to air nationwide on July 4.

Country music icon Reba McEntire visited the museum earlier this month to film a segment for the production. During a recent interview with WKRN News 2, McEntire hinted that viewers can expect a memorable aviation-themed entrance when her portion of the program airs.

“My friends, my family, my fans are so excited, the ones that I’ve told what I’m getting to do,” McEntire said. “Walking to the stage area like I am going to get to do, it’s going to be a thrill for me.”

The selection of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum highlights its reputation as one of the nation’s premier aviation museums and home to the world’s largest collection dedicated to Beech aircraft. The museum regularly attracts aviation enthusiasts and visitors from across the country who come to explore its extensive collection and learn about America’s aviation history.

Tullahoma City Administrator Jeff Damron said the opportunity provides valuable exposure for both the museum and the community.

“Having a production of this scale choose Tullahoma is a tremendous honor for our community,” Damron said. “It speaks to the unique character of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum, our airport, and it puts a national spotlight on what makes Tullahoma special as we join the country in celebrating America’s 250th birthday.”

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest and broadcast live from downtown Nashville, the three-hour special will feature performances by Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Nick Jonas, Boyz II Men, Brothers Osborne, Clint Black, Lauren Daigle, Little Big Town, NE-YO, and others alongside the Grammy Award-winning Nashville Symphony.

The special airs July 4 at 7 p.m. Central Time on ABC and multiple Disney-owned streaming platforms.
