Emma Lou Finchum, age 39 of Monteagle, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Coffee County on May 13, 1987, to the late William Paul McMahan and Deborah Faye Hereford. Emma Lou enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing or sitting around a bonfire while camping. She had a beautiful voice and had performed with various choirs when she was younger. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother, and cherished the time spent with her beloved family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rebel Finchum; grandparents, Ernest and Lois McMahan and James Hereford; and niece, Serenity Short. Emma Lou is survived by her husband, Bill Finchum; children, Dixie Hogan and Thor Finchum; step-daughters, Kayleigh Hogan and Khloe Hogan; siblings, Eric (Jess) McMahan, Duane McMahan, and Harmony (Ray) Brady; grandmother, Eunice Weir; sister-in-law, Erin Gray; aunt, Betty (Donny) Smartt; nieces, Hayley Duncan, Destiny Short, Layla Bundy, and Lily Howse; great-niece, Navy Duncan; and cousins. Jonathan (Kelly) Smartt and Josh Smartt. Visitation will be from 12-1pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
