Roy Edward “Eddie” Ellis, age 83, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born on June 6, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee, Eddie was the son of the late Audrey and Edward Ellis. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Ballinger.
Eddie graduated from Goodlettsville High School and spent many years working for plumbing supply companies before dedicating 22 years of service to the Tullahoma Fire Department, where he proudly served as a firefighter until his retirement.
Eddie had a passion for University of Tennessee football, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, gentle kindness, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Carolyn Ellis; daughter, Tammy Ellis of Tullahoma, Tennessee; son, Tim Ellis of Titusville, Florida; grandson, Justin Ellis; great-granddaughters, Olivia, Addalyn, and Everly Ellis of Ohio; sister, Jacque Raphael; niece, Caren Neely; nephew, Jeffrey Neeley; and many longtime friends and loved ones.
