Mrs. Leatha Mason, 90 of Winchester passed from this life on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born on August 27, 1935 in Elora, TN to the late Robert and Geneva Morrow Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Mason; sisters, Genelle Miller, Frances Diane Ruth, Willie Jo Hill, and Jewel “Lucille” Johnson; brothers, Eddie C. Miller, Clark Miller, James “Hen” Miller, Glen Miller and Robert Wade Miller.
She was a devoted and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Winchester, where she faithfully served on the Mother Board. She dedicated more than 30 years of service as a postal clerk with the USPS in Winchester before retiring. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and loved them dearly.
She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Earnest Burks; grandchildren, Dameion Burks and Tieshia Burks; great-grandchildren, Madisen Burks and Lyric Leggett, who affectionately knew her as “Grand-Nana”; sisters, Blanch Williams, Barbara (James) Rollins, and Clara Talley; brother, Leonard Miller; devoted nieces, Janet Miller, Cathy Beasley, and Sharrion Burks; devoted friend, Mary Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation, Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Elk River Tabernacle with Funeral Services following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Winchester City Cemetery.
