November 4, 1931 – March 19, 2026
Robbie Maxon (Modena) Jones Patton, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born on November 4, 1931, to the late John Modena and Ella B. (Hill) Taylor.
Robbie accepted Christ early in life and carried her faith with her in the way she lived—showing kindness, compassion, and love to everyone she met. She had a servant’s heart and found great joy in caring for others.
She dedicated 20 years of service to Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Sewanee and later worked for the University of the South. Throughout her life, Robbie also cared for many families and homes, forming lasting friendships that she cherished deeply.
Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Jones and David Patton, Jr.; her children, Beverly Gail Jones, Vickie LaJean Jones Johnson, and Isaiah Jones II; her brother, Willie Edward Modena; her sister, Johnnie Dell Hollingsworth; her grandson, Ike Jones, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Antionette and Tray-Von Turner; and her other father, Lewis Taylor, who meant the world to her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Robbie Fontaine Carson; five loving sisters, Lois (Ahmed) Adams, Jervie (Jesse) Smedley, Vereda Taylor, Renee (Kenneth) Allmon, and Barbara S. Modena; her special daughter-in-law, Gloria Jones; and her beloved grandchildren, Alysia Dione Jones, Anthony J.L. Hooper, Talisa Lynette Hooper Turner, and David Isaiah Hooper. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; a special sister, Drucilla Hayworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom she shared a close and loving relationship with.
The family extends a special thank you to Woody and Ann Deutsch, Marquite and Cooper Lloyd, and Rev Rebecca Wright and family for their love and support. A heartfelt appreciation is also given to her devoted friend, Mr. Willie T. Floyd, and his family, for their constant love and care.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for the compassionate care provided during her illness.
“Just like a raindrop, life comes and goes back to its original form—but never truly gone. Forever, until we meet again. Fly high.”
