Arlene Francis Campbell

October 26, 1952  –  February 13, 2026

Arlene Francis Campbell, age 73, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on February 13, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Winchester, Tennessee, on October 26, 1952, to the late Howard and Mary Sue (Henley) Hill. Arlene will be remembered for her quiet humor. She loved her grandsons and there were many days that they followed her closely behind in the kitchen. She always made time to listen to the children’s concerns and their personal interests no matter how simple or how individual. She was a good Mom who liked to be called Mimi in lieu of Grandma. She was always ready to provide a snack at a moment’s notice…whether for a little white dog, grandchild, or a friend. She loved flowers especially pansies and the little flower bed where she loved to set and listen to the wind chimes and watch the cat, the little white dog or later in life her grandchildren. Her grandchildren and their dad many times prepared her flower bed as a gift for Mother’s Day. She treasured the time she spent peacefully gazing on the back porch at those pansies, snap dragons, and petunias. She often would comment on the most recent backyard visitors such as skunks, foxes etc. Over the years she always made time to find the men and boys a perfectly fitted shirt or nice pair of pants, always on sale of course. And enjoyed crafting, sewing, and decorating her home. She always appreciated very much the home her husband had built her and was thankful for those who helped. She was always there to listen to her family’s burdens and had a knack for remembering everyone’s needs. She loved to find the best place to see the Fall Colors of the leaves and drive to see Christmas lights at night. She will be missed as the sweet, quiet, loving, person that she was. She was so very important to those closest to her. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond Campbell; son, Joshua (Laura) Campbell; grandchildren, Joshua Job Campbell, Jr, Caleb David Campbell, Josiah Nathan Campbell, Issac Noah Campbell, and Benjamin Peter Campbell; brother, Carter Hill. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Prairie Plains Church of Christ Cemetery from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Vernon Waggoner Officiating.
