Sharon Ann Sneyd Peters, age 76 of Huntland, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Adrian, Michigan on April 25, 1949, to the late Kenneth and Bessie (Lewter) Sneyd. She graduated from Adrain Senior High School. She started her work career at Fisher Body in Michigan. She worked at Schultz Poultry Farm and Captain D’s before eventually retiring from Speedway. For many years, Sharon enjoyed quilting, sewing, and collecting knick-knacks, as well as canning vegetables for her family, taking advantage of her green thumb. An animal lover, she loved her pets and enjoyed watching cardinals and hummingbirds. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family and returning home to Michigan for visits with them. When she was able, Sharon attended Oak Grove Missionary Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ken Sneyd, Don Sneyd, and Ronnie Sneyd; and sister, Linda Sneyd. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Leo “Frank” Peters; children, Russell (Lisa) Peters, Melonie (Scott) May, Beth Hargis, Lauri Owens, Kenny Peters, Pennie Peters, Shelly (Steven) Sams, and Scott Peters; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda (Jack) Ward; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
