Richard Alvin Cole, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on May 24, 1943, Richard lived a long life marked by devotion to family, faith, and the people and causes he loved.
Richard was the husband of Barbara Ann Ingwersen and Penelope Klineck. Throughout his life he cherished the relationships he built and the family that surrounded him.
He was a beloved father to his son, Jeffrey A. Cole and daughter-in-law Sonja Cole, and his daughter, Estelle A. Caliendo and son-in-law Jerry Caliendo. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren—Trent Gustafson, Brandon Gustafson, Caleb Cole, and Tyler Cole—who brought him great pride and joy.
Richard had a special love for his faithful dogs, Paddy and MacDougal, whose companionship brought him comfort and happiness throughout the years. He was a man deeply devoted to his Christian faith, which guided his life and actions. Known for his generous spirit, Richard gave freely and quietly to many charitable causes, always seeking ways to help others and live out his beliefs through kindness and service.
Richard built a respected career through hard work and skill. He was the owner of Eagle Homes of Orleans, Massachusetts, and served as a Project Manager for John P. Bell and Sons, among many other professional responsibilities throughout his life. Gifted in mechanical engineering, he was known for his problem-solving ability, craftsmanship, and dedication to doing things the right way.
Richard will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, his steadfast faith, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held at Watson Funeral Home in Winchester, Tennessee, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Richard’s life and honor his memory.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
