Nellie Sue Morris, age 94 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. A native of Franklin County, she was born on August 26, 1931, to the late Charles and Janie (Tucker) Griggs. Before her retirement, Nellie worked in the health care industry as an office manager at a local doctor’s office. She was very creative and enjoyed doing stained glass art projects after her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Hill and Jimmy Hill; and sister, Oleda Jo McCafferty. Nellie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-four years, Sam Morris; children, George (Kathy) Hill of Winchester, Donna (Ken) Soileau of Lancaster, South Carolina, Craig (Melanie) Morris of Chattanooga, and Debbie Alcorn of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home.
