May 12, 1943 – January 20, 2026
Joan Clark Snyder, age 82 of Tullahoma, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at The Waters of Winchester. She was born in Richmondville, New York on May 12, 1943. Before her retirement, she was an electronic technician, specializing in military contracts. A country girl at heart, she enjoyed fishing and target practice, as well as crocheting. In her spare time, she could be found reading Stephen King novels or listening to her favorite songs, particularly ones sung by Willie Nelson, Billy Joel, and Ray Stevens. Although she had lived in Tennessee for some time, Joan always looked forward to returning home to New York to visit with family and friends. Her family was her world and she most cherished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Clark; brothers, John D. Delia and James Delia; and sister, Eileen Thompson. Joan is survived by her loving son, Joseph Snyder; grandchildren, Philip (Lisa) Gatti, Kevin Snyder, and Mary (Kevin) Stewart; great-grandchildren, Zayne Gatti, Lucian Gatti, Sawyer Clark, Brynley Freed, Nick (Alyssa) Howard, Maddie Sneed, Lily Snyder, Elias Snyder, Ryder Stewart, and Keagan Stewart; great-great-grandchildren, Logan, Marshall, Waylon, and Willa Mae, who is due next month; and several nieces and nephews. Private family services are planned. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2222, www.moorecortner.com.
