South Middle School has announced that Head Football and Track Coach Jermaine Johnson will no longer serve in those roles, effective February 11, 2026.
Coach Johnson enjoyed a highly successful tenure at South, building competitive programs and positively impacting student-athletes both on and off the field. His leadership helped establish a culture of discipline, growth, and pride within the teams.
School officials expressed appreciation for Coach Johnson’s contributions and wished him continued success moving forward.
South Middle School will begin the process of identifying the next leader of its track and football programs in the coming weeks.
