Franklin County’s Ryan Fuller Selected for Statewide Cattle Leadership Program

A Franklin County resident is helping represent the next generation of leaders in Tennessee’s cattle industry.

Ryan Fuller has been selected for the 2026 Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program, according to a press release from the Tennessee Beef Industry Council. The year-long program is a partnership between the Tennessee Beef Industry Council and the Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association and is designed to develop emerging leaders within the state’s cattle industry.

Participants are selected from across Tennessee to take part in an immersive leadership experience that focuses on strengthening industry knowledge, communication skills and the ability to serve in leadership roles within the agricultural community.

Throughout the program, participants attend multiple sessions across the state covering topics such as industry advocacy, beef promotion, agricultural policy and organizational leadership. The program also provides what organizers describe as a “pasture-to-plate” perspective on the beef industry, giving participants a deeper understanding of the production process while connecting them with fellow producers and industry leaders.

The 2026 class held its first session February 6–7 in Franklin, Tennessee. During the opening event, participants took part in leadership development workshops and discussions focused on the responsibilities of representing the beef industry at both the local and state levels.

Organizers say the program is designed to help prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders by providing hands-on learning opportunities and encouraging collaboration among cattle producers from different regions of the state.

The Tennessee Beef Industry Council says initiatives like the Young Cattlemen’s Leadership Program help strengthen the long-term future of the state’s cattle industry by investing in producers who will help guide policy, education and promotion efforts.
