Edna Ruth Hughes of Beechgrove, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday,
March 14, 2026, at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford hospital in Murfreesboro,
Tennessee at the age of 69 years.
A native of Franklin, Kentucky, she is the daughter of the late George and Betty
Goins Hughes. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers,
George Jessie and Joel Kenneth Hughes.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and no services are being planned at this
time.
Edna was a high school graduate and a member of Kings Chapel Missionary
Baptist Church. She was extremely close to her sister Alta and they spent a lot of
time together.
Her survivors include one brother, Thomas Douglas Hughes of Manchester,
Tennessee, one sister, Alta (Jimmy) Dunn of Beechgrove, Tennessee, two nieces,
Christie Dawn Gray of Manchester, Tennessee, and Martha Renee Taylor of Beechgrove, Tennessee, one nephew, James Gavin Hughes of Manchester, Tennessee, and one great nephew, Dalton Lane Hughes of
Wisconsin.
