The District 12AAA Girls Basketball Tournament bracket has officially been released, and the Franklin County Rebelettes will enter postseason play as the No. 2 seed.
Seeding between Franklin County and Tullahoma was determined by coin toss after both teams finished district play with identical 6–2 records. Tullahoma won the toss and secured the No. 1 seed, while Franklin County will enter the tournament as the second seed.
The tournament will be hosted at Tullahoma High School and begins Monday, February 16.
Opening Round
- #4 Giles County vs. #5 Marshall County
Monday, Feb. 16 – 6:00 p.m. (at higher seed)
Semifinals – Friday, Feb. 20 (at Tullahoma)
- #1 Tullahoma vs. #4/#5 winner – 4:00 p.m.
- #2 Franklin County vs. #3 Lawrence County – 7:00 p.m.
Franklin County will face Lawrence County in the semifinal round. The Rebelettes hold a 2–0 record against the Lady Wildcats this season, defeating them 69–41 on January 16 and surviving a 54–53 battle on February 3.
Championship & Consolation – Monday, Feb. 23 (at Tullahoma)
- Consolation Game (3rd Place) – 6:00 p.m.
- Championship Game – 7:30 p.m.
Franklin County enters tournament play at 17–10 overall and 6–2 in district competition. The Rebelettes closed the regular season strong and will look to carry that momentum into postseason action.
With district titles and regional positioning on the line, next week’s tournament promises high-intensity basketball in one of the area’s most competitive districts.
