As 931News reported earlier this week, a social media post about possible rodent activity at Kroger in Tullahoma created many comments online. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture wants to clarify some previously reported information.
Samantha J. Jean, Director of Communications for the (TDA), clarifies the statement claiming the grocery store got the “all-clear from TDA. "While violations were noted during our inspection, none involved our inspector observing live rodents."
“We received the complaint about possible rodents on Friday and responded that day. Our observations for the report are for the time frame we were there. Kroger did indicate to us (TDA) that they had been working with a pest control company before we arrived.”
For those interested, inspection reports are publicly accessible on the TDA website, including the specific report for the Kroger inspection conducted on January 24.
Shoppers were surprised on Monday when they found signs on the store's doors indicating that it was closed for remodeling. A sign at the front of the store says Kroger plans to reopen Saturday, Feb. 1. The pharmacy is only open in the drive-thru.
