Terri Lynn Hiles

Terri Lynn Hiles, age 65 of Decherd, formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Terri was born on September 20, 1959, in Aurora, IL to the late Jimmie and Peggy (Andersen) Brackett. In her younger years, she was the manager of The Office restaurant and worked in the color department of Home Dept. She also worked with her sister Vickie remodeling. Terri eventually became a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed visiting with her family in Illinois and enjoyed a good cup of coffee with family at the Pancake House. Terri loved watching old TV shows and laughter filled the room while she watched I Love Lucy. She will be remembered by her family as caring and compassionate and for the love she showed her family and her four-legged best friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Brackett and Jimmie Brackett; and her four-legged best friends, Jax, Max, and George Kipper. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, Dean Hiles; daughters, Dana Reynolds-Jordan and Candice (Keith) Taylor; step-daughters, Sandy (Bob) Carey and Susan (Mark) Alsip; grandchildren, Briannah, Christinah, Joshua, Dylan, Nicholas, Caleb and Elijah; step-grandchildren, Trinity, Brandon, Liam, Zeke, and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Alexander, Lincoln, Archer and Graham; sisters, Tammy (Gary) Williams, Vickie (George) Hamilton, Sherri Brackett (Bruce), and Kim Pryor; four-legged best friend, Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Watson Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00 pm from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home.
