Beware of scammers posing as representatives of Duck River Electric Membership Corporation who demand immediate payment or request your financial information for any reason. If you suspect a call is fraudulent, please hang up and contact the DREMC office to check the status of your electric account. Be aware of the warning signs of a possible scam:
- Threats of service disconnection or abusive language.
- Requests for payment via gift cards or non-DREMC applications.
- Urgent timeframes for payment.
- Calls made outside DREMC’s regular business hours—8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- The caller claims your account has a credit balance, and DREMC will refund the amount after you provide banking information.
Members are encouraged to utilize DREMC's payment options, including the website (www.dremc.com), mobile app, phone calls to any DREMC office, or mail. Payments can also be made in person at one of the eight office locations or when shopping at a business participating in DREMC's CheckOut payment option.
