The family of Max E. Trail Jr. is deeply saddened to announce his passing from this earthly life on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at the age of 43.
Max was born to the late Max E. Trail and the late Danita Taylor, both of Tullahoma.
Max was resilient in every sense of the word. He overcame much adversity in his life from childhood all the way through adulthood. As a young man, he was known for his grit and domination on the football field. While he often wore a tough exterior, Max had a heart of gold. Making everyone around him laugh and feel comfortable was a gift he carried with him throughout his life.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He cherished each and every moment spent in nature. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his bicycle, floating the river, camping, campfires, and cooking over an open flame. He also took on many projects that proved his skillfulness in many things.
If you were close to Max, he always called. He wanted to hear your voice, and you wanted to hear his. He loved deeply and desired to be loved.
On December 29th, 2024, a week before his passing, Max was baptized in the name of Jesus. His new-found love and excitement for his faith was evident. Max would want nothing more than for everyone to know the love of Jesus.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris Trail, Evadene Phillips, Jack Gann, and Virginia Sue Loftis.
Max is survived by his wife, Rhonda Trail; two brothers, Daniel Trail (Kari) of Normandy and Adam Trail (Amy) of Richlands, NC; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Kaitlyn, and Raylan; many loving uncles and aunts; many loving cousins that were more like brothers and sisters than cousins; and countless dear friends.
The family will have a celebration of life for Max from 1-3 on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma. All are welcome.
