A Fayetteville man accused of killing a 17-year-old in 2022 has been moved to the Lincoln County Jail to stand trial. Robtavious Hawk, who was 26 at the time, is facing charges of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
The charges come from a shooting on February 13, 2022, where one teen was killed and two others in the same vehicle were hurt but survived. Hawk was arrested later after a joint effort between local law enforcement and the U.S. Marshals.
He’s been in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Corrections while waiting for his trial. He was brought to Lincoln County on March 31.
A jury was selected on April 9, and the trial is set to begin Thursday, April 10. It’s expected to wrap up sometime next week.
The trial will start with the case-in-chief, where the main evidence and testimony are presented to the jury.
