Mason Shines on the Mound, But Huntland Falls to Rival Moore County

Even though Kinah Mason struck out 10 batters, Huntland Lady Hornets still fell to Moore County Varsity Raiderettes on Tuesday. Mason allowed four hits and one run over six innings while walking none.
Huntland Lady Hornets lost despite out-hitting Moore County Varsity Raiderettes five to four. Analyn Riddle, Mason, Millie Walker, Lily Jackson, and Catara Johnson each collected one hit for Huntland Lady Hornets.
Moore County Varsity Raiderettes got on the board in the third inning after Anna Leigh Ross doubled, scoring one run.
Kallie Ross earned the win for Moore County Varsity Raiderettes. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none.
Ross led Moore County Varsity Raiderettes with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Savannah Rose went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Moore County Varsity Raiderettes in hits.
