Local Counties Receive Grant Funding for Healthcare

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has awarded $10.7 million in grant funding to support rural healthcare initiatives across the state.

Beginning July 1, 2025, 38 organizations across Tennessee will receive funds to strengthen healthcare workforce development in every rural county in the state. Locally, four organizations who will be receiving the funding include: South Central Tennessee Workforce Alliance (Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Perry, Warren, Wayn, and Williamson); Southern Middle Workforce Board (Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Perry and Wayne); Tennessee Hospital Association; and Tennessee Board of Regents.
