Joseph Peter Gelly Obituary

JOSEPH PETER GELLY, age 90, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Viva Senior Living Franklin in Winchester, Tenn., following an extended illness.  Mr. Gelly was born in Nanicote, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1934, to the late Guido Gelly and Rose Bellegia Gelly.  Mr. Gelly was a U.S. Veteran of the Marine Corps.  He was also a Fire Fighter in Reno Nevada for approximately 31 years before his retirement.  Mr. Gelly enjoyed rebuilding old mustangs as well as clocks and watches.  He was of the Catholic Faith.  He was a loving and devoted husband, to his beloved Laura.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gelly was preceded in death by his two sons, Steven and Joseph Gelly.  He is survived by his wife, Laura of Winchester and step-sister, Tina Gelly of Pennsylvania and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

It was Mr. Gelly's wishes that he be cremated with no services.
