Joann Fabrics and Crafts Closing 500 Stores, including Tullahoma

Joann Fabrics and Crafts has filed for bankruptcy and is expected to close hundreds of its stores.

Across the United States, around 500 stores will close, including the Joann Fabrics and Crafts store at Northgate Mall in Tullahoma.

Joann initially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2024 but was able to become a private company and keep all of its stores open.

Joann filed for bankruptcy for the second time on January 15, 2025, and said inventory issues were a leading cause of the filing.
