Tennessee has the third-lowest average fuel prices in the United States. This allows residents to experience a slight reprieve from the typical frustrations associated with refueling their vehicles.

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), gas prices across the state have remained relatively stable over the past week, with a minor increase of just one cent. As of Monday, the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel stood at $2.79. This figure reflects a nine-cent increase from the previous month but is a significant 42 cents lower than prices recorded at the same time last year.

In Franklin County, the average price per gallon is slightly lower, at $2.77 as of Monday.
