The Rebels pulled off a wild win Monday night, walking it off in extras to beat Giles County 8-7. Braden Jackson came through in the clutch with a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to seal the deal after the game was tied at seven.

Sam Vincent had himself a night, going 3-for-4 with singles in the third, fifth, and the game-tying hit in the eighth.

Franklin County got on the board early when Gus Gardner drove in a run with a sac fly in the first, but Giles County answered big in the top of the second—putting up five runs on six hits, including a two-RBI double from Ryker Whitworth after a gritty six-pitch at-bat.

The Rebels clawed back and tied things up in the fifth thanks to another clutch knock from Vincent. From there, both teams battled until Jackson ended it with his game-winner.

Josiah Cullins was lights out in relief, picking up the win after tossing four hitless innings with seven strikeouts and just two walks. Gardner got the start and went four innings, giving up seven runs on 11 hits with three Ks.

Offensively, Franklin County scattered 11 hits across the lineup. Casen Gilliam had a solid night with two hits, while Gilliam, Gardner, Taylor Austin, and Gavin McBee all drew two walks each. The team worked 10 free passes total—great patience at the plate.

Giles County matched Franklin with 11 hits. Rhett Hayes led them with a 3-for-4 night at the top of the order, and both Whitworth and Clayton Mosely drove in two runs. Demari Holt started on the mound for Giles and went three innings, giving up four runs on five hits.
